Winter and Garden are not usually words found within the same sentence. If you are a garden/plant person living in a northern climate, by February you are feeling downright starved for some chlorophyll.
Mary Leikvold and myself offered our Garden Monotype class at The Minnesota Center for Book Arts in the dead of winter. As you can see from the photographs, the students were very creative in finding ways to celebrate the garden without an available garden to provide plant material.
Sometimes when the challenges are great, the rewards are that much sweeter.
